WHS Training for Mining Statutory Positions
This course will provide you with the opportunity to complete the units of competency required under Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022. This course runs in Perth, Kalgoorlie, Karratha, Albany and Bunbury.

Overview
WorkSafe now mandates that all individuals holding, or aspiring to hold, mining statutory positions must complete specific units of competency focused on risk management and safety.
Our face-to-face course is designed specifically for those who already have the practical skills and knowledge, enabling you to meet WorkSafe's latest requirements quickly and efficiently.
As outlined in Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, these units are:
- BSBWHS414 Contribute to WHS risk management
- BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs
During this course, you will work through simulated scenarios, and review the regulations, to provide context to complete the templates and reports that must be submitted for the assessment to complete the units of competency.
Make sure you are compliant before the transitional arrangements expire on 31 March 2026.

In this course you will cover:
- Applicable health and safety legislation
- Hazard identification and risk control
- WHS management systems
- Risk assessment and management.
Note: You will need to bring your own device to the training so you can work on the scenarios in the training room.

Learning Outcomes
You will complete scenario-based activities, based on a simulated workplace, to complete the units of competency.
On successful completion of all assessment tasks and payment of fees, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed.
This course will assist managers, supervisors and team leaders to understand their responsibilities under our WHS laws and develop the skills needed to effectively manage safety in the workplace.
With significant updates to the WHS legislation and changes in the ways workplaces apply this legislation, if you are a Health and Safety Representatives (HSR), you will benefit from this refresher course.
