Paul Blackburne is the Founder and Managing Director of Blackburne Group. With an impressive portfolio of approximately $1B in ongoing projects, Blackburne is celebrated as a leader in the Australian market, specialising in prestigious, high-end luxury apartments.

Blackburne was founded in 2003 when Paul obtained a loan to buy part of the rent roll from his father’s firm, Blackburne and Joyce Real Estate, to start a property management and project marketing business. Since then, the company has grown to become the largest residential and commercial developer in WA.

Paul is active in the Blackburne business and provides strategic guidance and support to the Senior Executive Team. He is widely recognised as a leading business figure in Western Australia. Paul has received a number of prestigious accolades including the 2016 WA Business 40under40 First Amongst Equals Award, the 2014 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist and 2005 WA Business 40under40 Finalist. 

Blackburne’s luxury apartment developments have also won numerous excellence awards from the Property Council of Australia and the Urban Development Institute. Between 2021 and 2025 Blackburne have over $1B of stunning new developments completing, which will transform the urban landscape in WA.
