Understanding text and task
The concepts of ‘text’ and ‘task’ are fundamental within language teaching and learning and as such it is important that all teachers know about them. The purpose of this workshop is, therefore, to introduce the terms and provide opportunities for participants to explore their meanings and applications.
In addition to defining ‘text’, and looking at authenticity in text, participants will examine and experience a range of different task types that they can use in their CLS. The difference between language practice tasks and language use tasks will also be addressed.
Prior to attending this you must have already attended the following workshops:
