Leadership for languages
By engaging with the contents of this program, leaders – or aspirant leaders – in in the languages area will be better placed to support languages and languages learning within their community languages school. Constructs associated with leadership, management, organisations and improvement and change, are examined in this program. Working with the information provided will enable leaders in the languages area to negotiate for improvement, enact curriculum reform, enhance the position of community languages, and assist in supporting and mentoring language teachers.
It is recommended for school teams (leader/s and teacher/s) that are working towards Stage 1 - Registration of PIP.
Prior to attending this you must have already attended the following workshops:
‘How to be a good language teacher. Tell me now, show me how.’ and
‘What makes for a good community language school program?’
