WorkSafe now mandates that all individuals holding, or aspiring to hold, mining statutory positions must complete specific units of competency focused on risk management and safety.
Our face-to-face course is designed specifically for those who already have the practical skills and knowledge, enabling you to meet WorkSafe's latest requirements quickly and efficiently.
As outlined in Schedule 26 of the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022, these units are:
During this course, you will work through simulated scenarios, and review the regulations, to provide context to complete the templates and reports that must be submitted for the assessment to complete the units of competency.
Make sure you are compliant before the transitional arrangements expire on 31 March 2026.

Note: You will need to bring your own laptop to the workshop so you can work on the assessment tasks and submit your completed assessment before you finish the workshop (If using an iPad it must be enabled to complete fillable PDF’s).
If you are unable to get to the training course, the units of competency are available to complete online via the Recognition of Learning pathway, or we can customise a solution for your organisation.
You will complete scenario-based activities, based on a simulated workplace, to complete the units of competency.
On successful completion of all assessment tasks and payment of fees, you will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units completed.
