Trevor Gleeson FAIM, one of Australia’s most accomplished basketball coaches, has coached for over 20 years in the high-pressure business of professional sport. The players Trevor is involved with on an everyday basis are some of the most talented and skilled basketball players in the world.
He is the first coach to lead the Perth Wildcats to four (4) National Basketball League Championships including the last three during 2016, 2017 and 2018 season.
In a very long and successful career, Trevor has coached over 400 professional games on three continents spanning the United States of America, South Korea and Australia, and he has represented Australia on numerous events around the globe and on the world stage at the recent 2016 Rio Olympics Games and the 2014 World Championships in Spain.
In between the practice courts and the competition in the NBL Trevor devotes much of his times to various non-for profit organisations. Trevor was a major architect to bring the Wildcats Pink Games to fruition, Trevor is also the WA’s Ambassador of the Mother’s Day Classic, a National Breast Cancer annual fund run raising charity.
Trevor’s passion has always been in coaching and education. He has lectured primary and secondary kids in schools around the country as well as the USA with programs as “Stay in School’ and ‘Say No to Drugs’, also about living a healthy life, making your dreams come true, overcoming adversity and goal setting.
