Unique Student Identifier (USI) Mandatory since 1 January 2015

Since the 1st of January 2015, all students undertaking Nationally Recognised training in Australia need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Once you have your USI, you can use it throughout your life, to keep a centralised online record of all your Nationally Recognised training. Whether you're studying at TAFE, a private training organisation, completing a certificate or diploma course, apprenticeship or skill set - you'll need a USI.

Assessment Only Explained

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:

This pathway provides you with the opportunity to be recognised for the skills, knowledge and experience you already possess. You will be required to gather evidence based on a set of prescribed assessment tasks for each unit. You must successfully address all of these tasks in order to achieve the qualification.

This pathway requires you to have your workplace supervisor’s support in order to help you to develop evidence in areas where you have less experience. Full guidance and support is provided by your Assessor.

Nationally Recognised Training

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working in a variety of roles within the human resource sector who have a sound theoretical knowledge base in human resource management and demonstrate a range of managerial skills to ensure that human resource functions are effectively conducted in an organisation or business area.

Who Will Benefit

HR professionals, administrators and advisors seeking formal recognition of their work experience, knowledge and skills.

Prerequisites

Enrolment in this qualification requires participants to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in their chosen field, with responsibility for human resource management practices as part of their current role.

Participants are also required to have the support of an employer, manager or supervisor who can provide opportunities for the participant to demonstrate competence and develop and collect evidence from various departments within the business. 

What Is Required to Gain the Qualification

Upon successful enrolment in this qualification, participants will be granted online access to all relevant assessment tools. Every aspect of each assessment tool must be addressed successfully in order to achieve this qualification.

Participants have up to 2 years to complete the assessment requirements of the qualification.
