Unique Student Identifier (USI) Mandatory since 1 January 2015

Since the 1st of January 2015, all students undertaking Nationally Recognised training in Australia need to have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Once you have your USI, you can use it throughout your life, to keep a centralised online record of all your Nationally Recognised training. Whether you're studying at TAFE, a private training organisation, completing a certificate or diploma course, apprenticeship or skill set - you'll need a USI.

Overview

This skill set is for frontline employees who plan to move into supervisory or team leader roles.

Who Will Benefit

Frontline employees who have a people management role such as a leading hand, supervisor or team leader.

Prerequisites

While there are no formal entry requirements, AIM WA skill set are suited to those currently employed within the industry field they are enrolling into and have a minimum of 2 years relevant industry vocational experience.

Participants are also required to have the support of an employer, manager or supervisor who can provide opportunities for the participant to demonstrate competence and develop and collect evidence from various departments within the business.

What Is Required to Gain the Skill Set

Upon successful enrolment in this skill set, participants will be granted online access to all relevant assessment tools. Every aspect of each assessment tool must be addressed successfully in order to achieve this skill set.

AIM WA recommends regular attendance on the free Qualification Support Workshops while completing the assessment requirements.

Participants have up to 1 year to complete the assessment requirements of the skill set.

How Do I Get Started

  1. Download the Enrolment Kit located on this page under Related Information
  2. Read through the kit to learn more about the skill set and its requirements
  3. Complete the self-assessment & LLN questionnaires, direct managers sign off and Enrolment form
  4. Email all 4 documents to enrol onto the skill set to assessments@aimwa.com
  5. Once enrolled you will receive log-in details for the AIM WA Assessment Portal to access your assessments
