A former Prime Minister, a Wallabies Captain, a global CEO and a Walkley award winning Journalist headline the 2016 AIM WA Annual Leadership Summit. They are joined by nine other successful and respected CEO’s from a variety of sectors and industries.

The Summit aims to give participants exposure to the insights, behaviours and energy of remarkable leaders in a single day.  Their stories and successes will inspire you.

Former Prime Minister, The Hon. John Howard, former CEO of mining giant Rio Tinto - Sam Walsh, Former Wallabies’ rugby captain and sporting icon - John Eales and well known writer and broadcaster – Annabel Crabb.

The Summit will comprise three Panel Session Topics:  Leading Change; The WA Economy – the Year Ahead, and Public/Private Partnerships.

AIM WA CEO Gary Martin said that “the Summit would bring together a wealth of expertise for Western Australian leaders and managers.”

“As WA battles the many challenges brought about by reduced mining royalties, a lacklustre housing market, and a cash-strapped economy, this one-day Summit will provide a wealth of insights and ideas for improvement - and how to keep WA business moving forward.”  Professor Martin said.

“Presented by a cross-section of Australia’s and Western Australia’s, most accomplished leaders and managers, these proven performers will demonstrate how to succeed; despite the challenging environment.” Professor Martin said.

A further nine successful and respected CEO’s from a variety of sectors and industries will also present at the Summit.
These include: Sheila McHale, CEO of the Palmerston Association; The Hon. Chief Justice of Western Australia, Wayne Martin QC; the Chair of the Economic Regulation Authority, Nicky Cusworth, and LandCorp CEO Frank Marra.

The five other presenters will be: Water Corporation Chairman Eva Skira; Regional Director ANZ & PNG and Operations Leader – Asia Pacific, GE Oil & Gas Australia, Mary Hackett; Tony Howarth; Expert in the Banking and Finance Industry, Managing Partner of Perth PwC Australia, Justin Carroll and Director-General of the Department of Health, Dr David Russell Weisz.
