Event Overview

What does leadership and strategy look like as we emerge from a global pandemic and weather an economic downturn?  Is it possible for executives to make sense of this new environment, to plan and to implement their strategy and survive the next major disruption?  The 2023 Senior Executive Forum offers an opportunity to reflect on and answer some of these questions, plus the many others that face each individual organisation.

Distinguished faculty members Professor Alan MacCormack and Professor Felix Oberholzer-Gee will lead this year’s Forum.  Both professors will test and stretch the thinking of participants, to help them unpack the complexities of the issues they face.  Using the famous Harvard teaching style, participants will analyse, dissect and interpret a series of case studies before applying the learnings to their own organisations.  This approach leads to a deeper understanding of the issues and an ability to transfer that learning into other contexts.

Professor MacCormack is making a return to the Forum.  His passionate, engaging teaching style was highly rated during his previous visits, as was his compelling teaching on the power of innovation and disruptive thinking.  This year he is joined by Professor Oberholzer-Gee, a global strategy expert who challenges executives to cut back on their strategic overload to focus on the issues that truly create value for the organisation.
