Terms and Conditions

AIMWA Training Courses

These include, but are not limited to courses within the following course categories.

 

Registration and Fees

  • AIMWA Training Course fees are due 7 days from date of invoice
  • Payment can be made by credit card online
  • All registrations are confirmed via email before the course starts
  • Course information letters or emails are sent out two weeks prior to the course commencement date
  • In the case of late registration, confirmation of attendance will be emailed or phoned through to the nominated person
  • Individuals or organisations must be current, financial members at the time of the training or event for member rates and eligibility to apply.

 

Community Training Grant (Scholarship) Funds and Premium Learning Partnerships

Can be used on non-residential training courses as outlined in the current AIMWA Training Course Guide excluding:

  • AIMWA+UWA Business School Executive Education Programs
  • Beediyar Program
  • Confidence on Camera
  • Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue® and Crucial Conversations for Accountability®
  • Crucial Influence®
  • Empower
  • Leadership Readiness: A Residential Program for Emerging Leaders (formerly ELP/ Emerging Leaders Program)
  • Mini MBA
  • Mindsets for High Performance
  • The Frontline Leader
  • The Project Manager
  • Think on Your Feet®
  • Workplace Ready – Graduate Program

 

  • May not be used towards assessment fees; Higher Education qualifications, one-on-one coaching; seminars and events; and customised in-company training
  • Recipients of Community Training Grants have until 31 December of the year awarded to book and attend training
  • Places on courses are subject to availability. A maximum of 3 participants from one organisation may attend any one iteration of a Management or Computer courses on the same date
  • Community Training Grant funds cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount/offer.

 

Corporate Membership - Complimentary Training Day(s) Usage

  • Can be used on non-residential Open Courses as outlined in the current AIMWA Training Course Guide excluding the list of courses/training listed above in the Community Training Grant Funds.
  • Complimentary training day/s can only be utilised in the current membership period and cannot be accumulated into the next membership period or used after the expiration of membership.

Unfortunately, there will be times when transfers or cancellations incur costs, and as a result, the following policies apply. If you are in any doubt about your options, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss further.

A small number of AIMWA’s Training Courses have transfer and cancellation conditions that differ from those outlined below, and these are indicated on the full course outline on our website.

Where assessment fees are paid up-front, these monies will be kept for the duration of the enrolment, but no longer than two years. Assessment fees may be transferred to another qualification if, as part of a Training Package change, you transition from the superseded qualification to its replacement.

Refunds will not be provided if you choose the wrong course or qualification. Where our services have been wrongly described or are different from what is advertised at aimwa.com, you may choose between a refund, exchange or credit.

AIMWA+UWA Business School Executive Education Programs

These include, but are not limited to programs within the current AIMWA+UWA Business School Executive Education Portfolio. 

 

Registration and Fees

  • AIMWA+UWA Business School Executive Education Program fees must be paid in full at the time of registration to secure attendance
  • Pricing displayed is inclusive of GST
  • Payment can be made by credit card online
  • All registrations are confirmed via email before the program starts. Program information letters or emails are sent out two weeks prior to the program commencement date. In case of late registration, confirmation of attendance will be emailed or phoned through to the nominated person.
  • Individuals or organisations must be current, financial members at the time of the training or event for member rates and eligibility to apply.

Professional Membership Business News Subscription Terms and Conditions

For AIMWA members that do not have a current paid subscription with Business News:

  • Up to three months complimentary digital subscription to Business News
  • Twice daily business emails.
  • Option to continue at a discounted member rate after the complimentary period ends.

 

For AIMWA members that have a current paid subscription with Business News:

  • One additional subscription for the remainder of their current Business News period, these can be gifted to others
  • Option of receiving the print edition
  • AIMWA members are eligible for the AIMWA Business News subscription once six months have passed since the end of the paid subscription.

 

AIMWA Monthly Member Offer Terms and Conditions

  • Each month, AIMWA will release an exclusive offer available only to current AIMWA Professional Members.
  • Offers are limited to a set number of members (as stated in that month's communication) and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis to those who complete the relevant claim form.
  • One entry per member, per offer.
  • Offer details, including the number of places available, redemption method, and any expiry or validity period, will be specified in the communication for that month.
  • Offers may vary from month to month and are subject to availability. AIMWA reserves the right to substitute, withdraw, or amend an offer at any time without notice.
  • Where an offer involves a third-party partner (e.g. cinema vouchers, dining credits), any additional terms set by that partner will apply and will be linked or referenced in that month's communication.
  • AIMWA is not responsible for the redemption process, quality, or availability of third-party goods or services provided as part of an offer.
  • For help with a specific month's offer, members should refer to the redemption instructions provided in that month's email, or contact personalmembership@aimwa.com.

 

Privacy and your Personal Information

  • If your employer has paid for the AIMWA Course, Seminar or Event, it is a condition of your enrolment that AIMWA may disclose details of your attendance and assessment to your employer
  • AIMWA will not otherwise disclose your personal information to other individuals or organisations except in accordance with the AIMWA Privacy Policy
  • If an organisation representative has booked you on a course, seminar or event, the organisation warrants that it has obtained your consent to disclose your personal information to AIMWA and for AIMWA to disclose details of your attendance and assessment. 

 

What if AIMWA Cancels a Course, Seminar or Event?

Please note that minimum numbers are required for courses, seminars or events to proceed. If a course, seminar or event is cancelled by AIMWA, all participants will be notified and a full refund of the fee (including GST) will be offered. Alternatively, participants will be offered a place on the next available date for the same course, seminar or event (where possible).

 

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

  • AIMWA Training Courses are GST free
  • AIMWA+UWA Business School Executive Education Open Program fees are subject to GST
  • AIMWA Personal Membership Event fees are subject to GST
  • A small number of AIMWA's Courses, Seminars and Events may have separate rules and these are indicated on the full course, seminar or event outline on our website.
