AIM WA Social Impact

Empowering resilient, inclusive and productive workplaces through AIM WA’s training, professional development and membership services.

Making a difference

BEEDIYAR program
BEEDIYAR is AIM WA’s flagship executive development program for First Nations leaders. It aims to develop the next generation of CEOs, directors, and senior executives. With thanks to the BEEDIYAR 2024-2025 sponsors, we are supporting 21 participants, providing access to C-suite learning opportunities such as the Senior Executive Forum and a study tour to Malaysia.
Community Partnerships
Each year, we invest significant time and development in other not-for-profit organisations, like the National Heart Foundation, Foodbank and the Waalitj Foundation. With access to training and the expertise of the AIM WA team, we help build their capacity and enhance their community impact. Throughout 2025, AIM WA will be proudly supporting Netball WA as a Community Partner.
Community Leadership Program
Every week, AIM WA offers a selection of its training courses to not-for-profits at a 50% discount. Those who have benefited from discounted courses include Kidsafe WA, Minderoo Foundation, Good Sammy Enterprises, Perth Netball Association, Telethon Kids Institute and numerous others.
Supporting 40Under40 winners
In addition to the AIM WA Pinnacle Awards, we support other programs such as Business News' 40Under40 awards, by giving $1,000 in training to each category winner and $5,000 in training for the overall winner. These awards support WA’s top entrepreneurs, innovators, and future business leaders and recognise their contributions to industry and community.
Community Training Grants

Recognising the work of not-for-profits and aspiring professionals in the WA community, these grants provide training up to the value of $3,000 for organisations and up to $4,000 for individuals. The most recent winners include SportsWest, Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation and Jessica Licklider from Karlka Nyiyaparli Aboriginal Corporation.

Inspiring and developing better workplaces in Western Australia

Our core purpose
AIM WA plays an essential role in addressing Western Australia’s skills challenges across all sectors, from corporate to Government and not-for-profits (NFPs). We do this by delivering a comprehensive suite of high-impact workplace training, including leadership, management and soft skills courses, along with professional development conferences, events and services for our members and clients.

And, as a not-for-profit and an education charity, we reinvest all our resources into improving workplaces. This helps to shape the success of organisations, improve the professional environment and personal wellbeing of Western Australians, and helps to ensure the future economic prosperity of the state.

Supporting equity, diversity and inclusion
Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is reflected in programs like BEEDIYAR – a unique executive development program for First Nations leaders and our Women in Leadership courses, which empower and develop typically underrepresented groups within WA’s leadership. These programs align with the broader social equity and inclusion goals of organisations across WA.

Advancing workplace health, safety and wellbeing
Workplace health and safety (WHS) and employee wellbeing are vital for building resilient organisations, especially in high-demand sectors such as health, and mining and resources, where wellbeing and mental health challenges can be prevalent. AIM WA’s training extends beyond physical safety to include mental health initiatives, helping organisations build a safe, supportive and sustainable workplace culture.

Building capacity in other Not-for-Profits (NFPs) and charities
While AIM WA’s training courses serve the needs of WA’s cross-sectoral workforce, from soft skills to executive leadership development, our support for NFPs and charities is also a cornerstone of our social impact. Scarce resources often mean these organisations have to prioritise essential service delivery over staff training and development. Recognising this challenge, AIM WA reinvests up to $1million of in-kind training support annually to empower other NFPs and charities to access critical leadership and skills development programs. This commitment ensures these organisations build resilience and adaptability, enhancing their ability to serve WA’s most vulnerable communities.

Creating lasting social and economic impact in Western Australia
AIM WA’s social impact extends across many industries and regions of Western Australia, strengthening the WA economy by equipping professionals and organisations with the skills needed to succeed. By fostering better workplaces, AIM WA helps organisations of all types develop strong leadership, build resilience, improve productivity and create inclusive, supportive environments.

Working with AIM WA represents an investment in a stronger, more diverse and economically resilient state. Our mission to inspire and develop better workplaces is essential to the future of WA, creating lasting social and economic value for all Western Australians.

Celebrating the best!

The AIM WA Pinnacle Awards recognise and reward outstanding organisations across the corporate, government, community and not-for-profit sectors in Australia that have a significant footprint in Western Australia. What's more, winners receive $20,000 of AIM WA training to gift to a charity of their choice.
