Promoted or about to lead people? Leadership Readiness is AIM WA’s signature residential program designed to support you through the transition from technical expert to people leader. It equips you with the mindset, tools and network you need to lead effectively, while giving employers confidence you’ll return ready to make an impact.
3 nights, 4 days - fully residential
Leadership can look straightforward from the outside. In reality, the shift is bigger than most people expect.
The work becomes less about your own output and more about people, conversations, confidence and influence.
Leadership Readiness is designed to help participants make that shift properly. It gives them the space to understand themselves more deeply, strengthen how they lead others, and return to work with greater clarity, stronger practical skills and a more relevant professional network.
Whether you are stepping into leadership for the first time, already a few months into the role, or looking to nominate someone who is, this program is designed to build the mindset, confidence and practical capability needed to lead well.

You will leave with:
Set among natural bushland, only 25 minutes from the Perth CBD and 5 minutes from WA’s Sunset Coast, Joondalup Resort provides a quiet, comfortable environment supported by contemporary facilities.
When you attend the Leadership Readiness, your fee includes all meals and a three-night stay at the resort.
Why residential? (vs a one‑day course):
It creates the conditions for real behaviour change - space away from work, practice, reflection, and coaching support.
This program works best when participants are supported at work. Your manager will be asked to complete a small amount of involvement before and after the program.
A short pre‑work activity is also required so participants arrive ready.
Is coaching included?
Coaching support is part of the residential experience through guided reflective conversations.
If you want a deeper follow‑up, you can add a 3 x 1‑hour coaching package (additional fee).
