Time Commitment and Cost

If you are working full time, our recommendation is that you only complete 1 unit per term. If you were to complete 1 unit per term, you can acquire one of our Graduate Certificates in 1 year, a Graduate Diploma in Management in 2 years and a full MBA in a minimum of 3 years. However, we have built flexibility into our Practical MBA and you can defer terms if required.

If you are completing 1 unit per term, you will need to attend a 3 hour face-to-face session here at AIM WA in Floreat. In addition to this, you will need to put in an additional 10 hours for readings and assignment work.

AIM WA offers 4 terms per calendar year, aligning with school terms which allows those with children to have study breaks at the same time as school holidays.

Each term is 9 weeks in duration and evening classes run from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm on 2 evenings per week.

2 units from each qualification are on offer every term and the unit you choose will determine the night of the week you would need to attend.

The unit fee is $3,060 and includes:

  • 9 face-to-face sessions
  • Catering (evening meal and tea/coffee)
  • Assessment fees
  • Digital textbooks
  • Access to the student portal

The full MBA consists of 12 units in total.

Invoices are provided 1 month before the term start date and the due date is the end of the term.  Pre-payments can also be made on any number of units and can be accepted from individual students or companies.

FEE-HELP is also available via a loan from the Australian Government and is available via application.

Payment is required per unit of study. When you register for your unit of study for the term, you will be issued with an invoice and this is due for payment by the end of the 10 week term. FEE-Help is available and we also offer upfront payments of flexible payment options if required.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

Through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), you can embark on an MBA that acknowledges the skills and knowledge you have acquired through previous academic studies, work or life experiences. With appropriate experience supported by evidence, you may be provided with credit for up to 50% (or a maximum of 6 units) allowing you to complete your MBA earlier and save on total cost. We can provide a Guide to the RPL Process which will help you decide if RPL is right for you.

RPL Fee: $500 per unit.

For more information regarding RPL, visit AIM Business School Recognition of Prior Learning

If you already hold units of competency with another training organisation you may be able to use these towards your qualification in a process called Credit Transfer (CT). You will need to provide a copy of your Transcript and the unit must be the same level (like for like) according to the Australian Qualifications Framework.

We cannot apply any discounts to our higher education program as we have to abide by Government restrictions, however our Practical MBA is one of the most competitively priced on the market.

Once you are enrolled in our Higher Education Program, you will receive complimentary professional membership for the duration of your studies.
