This course introduces you to those skills in Microsoft Word that are essential to create, modify and format simple documents. If you have some computing skills, but have little experience with Word or are new to Word, this course is right for you.

  • Understand the Word screen layout
  • Create and save documents
  • Preview and print a document
  • Delete and insert text
  • Move and copy text
  • Spell check documents
  • Apply character formatting
  • Use paragraph formatting (alignment, spacing, indents, borders, bulleted and numbered lists)
  • Insert page breaks and page numbers.
