Professional Membership
Member (AIMM)
Open to persons over 18 years of age and currently (or formerly) in a position with management responsibility, such as:
- a person responsible for planning and decision making, management of people and/or management of assets or activities and financial responsibility for an aspect of the organisation.
- persons aspiring to a management position and/or studying for a tertiary qualification.
Associate Fellow
Open to persons who have a record of proven management achievement over a period of five (5) years in a senior management position, such as:
- chief executive, general manager or senior functional manager
- specialist, owner/manager, or other management skills of a similar level, who have substantial impact on the overall operations of the organisation.
Fellow
Open to persons who have a record of proven management achievement normally over a period of ten (10) years such as;
- chief executive, general manager (or divisional, regional or state general manager)
- owner/manager who has initiated, established and developed a successful medium size or larger business.

Upgrade your Membership
There are three categories of Professional Membership of the Institute that reflect your management experience, qualifications and career achievements:
- Member (AIMM)
- Associate Fellow (AFAIM)
- Fellow (FAIM)
There is a $99 assessment fee for upgrade requests.
Professional Members are encouraged to apply for advancement in their Membership grade as their management and leadership experience and their career develops.
The Professional Membership Subscription Fee is $49 for all grading categories.
Prices include GST. Membership is invoiced annually on the anniversary date of admission. Subscriptions are fully tax deductible in most cases.

Grading Criteria

Apply for Associate Fellow or Fellow status
To apply for Associate Fellow or Fellow status, simply complete the upgrade application form to supply us with your detailed employment history and academic qualifications. Once we have received your completed upgrade application, the grading committee will award you with either Associate Fellow or Fellow status.
You will receive a welcome email within two weeks advising you of your Member grade and including your Membership invoice.
Upon payment you will have full access to the Institute’s benefits and services and will receive an electronic certificate of membership.
