Leading a team while still delivering your own work takes real skill. This qualification is for developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of industries. At this level, you take responsibility for your own performance, provide leadership, guidance and support to others and help organise and monitor your team's output. You solve a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and you analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
This qualification is offered via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) only; it does not include training and resources.
Pricing
The RPL fee covers assessment of your existing skills and knowledge. If gaps are identified, we will tell you about any extra costs before you enrol.
*The Frontline Leader price is the total assessment fee. You need to apply within 12 months of attending the 'Frontline Leader' program.
AIMWA is no longer accepting new enrolments into the Online Learning pathway for this qualification. This qualification is now offered through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) only. Existing Online Learning participants will continue under their current enrolment arrangements.
Already leading a team or supervising others? This qualification caters to a wide range of professionals seeking formal recognition for the leadership and management skills they use every day.
It is designed for:
RPL suits current team leaders, supervisors and operational employees who want their skills, experience and previous training recognised without repeating learning they have already done.
RPL is right for you if you:
There are no formal entry, licensing or certification requirements for this qualification. Before you enrol, an AIMWA assessor will review your experience, skills and access to evidence to confirm whether RPL suits you

Your RPL assessment has three parts. Together, they help your assessor confirm that you have the knowledge, practical capability and workplace evidence the qualification requires.
The example below shows how these three parts may work together for one assessment requirement.

How do budget and cost considerations influence the establishment of objectives when developing operational plans? |
Select an operational plan you contributed to developing. Explain the plan, your involvement, how resource requirements were analysed and presented and who you consulted. |
Upload evidence of an operational plan you assisted in developing, including relevant resources, KPIs, variations and budget information. |
Working with confidential evidence. You can redact names, contact details and other identifying information, as long as the evidence still shows your work. Make sure you have permission to share workplace documents. If confidentiality rules stop you providing evidence, talk to us before you enrol so we can consider alternatives.
You complete your assessment online through our learner portal, at your own pace and around your work. Enrolments are rolling, so you can start once your enrolment is confirmed and you have portal access. Self-paced still takes discipline. Setting aside regular time will help you finish within your enrolment period.
Your assessor reviews your evidence and gives feedback or asks for more information as needed. You can submit evidence up to three times for each unit, and this is included in your assessment fee.
AIMWA (RTO Code 0058) offers this qualification directly. We do not use third parties for recruitment, delivery or assessment.
You have 12 months to complete your assessment. As a guide, most participants spend several hours over one to three weeks per unit gathering evidence and answering knowledge questions. It can be quicker if your evidence is already organised, and slower if you need documents from employers or third parties.
In the event you are unable to complete the requirements within the 12 months, you may have the option to extend or re-enrol (conditions apply - see our RTO Schedule of Fees and Charges).
