Explore how data-driven insights sharpen the project decisions executives and senior managers make.
This program uses an unconventional teaching model, led by an Assistant Professor from UWA who has won multiple teaching excellence awards. You do not need any background in project management or analytics to get full value from it.
Expect a program that is genuinely engaging and enjoyable, and grounded throughout in project management and analytics principles. If you prefer a formal, traditional learning environment, this may not be the right program for you.
What to expect
While project management can be perceived as traditional, Project Management and Analytics is a relatively new branch of knowledge, developed in response to the practical needs that managers and senior decision makers face in projects. This course strengthens your ability to interpret project data, uncover performance issues, and make data-driven decisions across different stages of the project lifecycle. As projects become more complex, professionals must understand not only what has happened, but why it happened, what is likely to happen next, and which actions will deliver the best outcomes. This course not only covers all these areas but also takes steps to expand participants’ knowledge and skills beyond these capabilities.
This course introduces the four core types of analytics, including, descriptive analytics, diagnostic analytics, predictive analytics, and prescriptive analytics, and show how these can be used in projects to shift from intuitive to data driven decision making.
Through practical exercises and real-world case studies, participants learn how analytics enhances informed decision-making. The program builds confidence in using data as a strategic asset to improve project delivery, governance, and stakeholder communication.

Dr. Mehdi Rajabi Asadabadi
Lecturer, Academic, and Strategic Mentor
Mehdi is an award-winning lecturer and researcher in supply chain management, business analytics and project analytics. He is known for creating an innovative, scalable teaching model for large groups that has lifted learning and engagement across major Australian universities.
His approach brings together step-by-step analytics tasks, GenAI-supported learning, retrieval-based design and inclusive discussion. It has earned him consistently strong student evaluations.
Mehdi has taught and coordinated programs at the University of Sydney and the University of Western Australia, and delivers executive programs for AIMWA. He holds UWA Teaching Excellence recognition and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
