There are many people that we may need to influence because of our role, our expertise, our experience, or even our unique view on an issue. In this course, you'll explore the elements that help you to develop the ability to positively influence others, and then apply that learning to situations in your workplace. Every day at work we are called on to respond to the demands of others, make requests, raise issues or initiate change. Each of these situations would benefit from being able to positively influence the situation. Whether you are dealing with colleagues, team members, customers or stakeholders, this course will strengthen your knowledge around influencing others.

Learning Outcomes

- Understand and describe the main difference between influence and it’s 4 elements – persuasion, negotiation, power, and conflict
- Choose the appropriate outcome they require in a situation, and apply the appropriate influence element(s) to achieve that outcome
- Achieve more positive outcomes from their future interactions, to continue to build their level of influence
- Create an Action Plan using the skills addressed in the course.
