Overview

Every day at work we are called on to respond to the demands of others, make requests, raise issues or initiate change. Each of these situations would benefit from being able to positively influence the situation. Whether you are dealing with colleagues, team members, customers or stakeholders, this course will strengthen your knowledge around influencing others.

Learning Outcomes

Participants should be able to:

  • Understand and describe the main difference between influence and it’s 4 elements – persuasion, negotiation, power, and conflict
  • Choose the appropriate outcome they require in a situation, and apply the appropriate influence element(s) to achieve that outcome
  • Achieve more positive outcomes from their future interactions, to continue to build their level of influence
  • Create an Action Plan using the skills addressed in the course.
